Patriots living in Lafayette: Here is our chance to reverse the socialist trends in Lafayette, and inject the voice of liberty. The positions listed bellow are appointed, and so you would not need to put on a costly, and time consuming campaign. The commitment would be comparatively small, considering the rewards for lady liberty. I am asking, nay begging, that every Lafayette Libertarian apply for these positions (I am). Besides adding to the total number of Libertarians serving in office in Boulder County (and thus adding to our credibility), you could make a real impact for liberty in these positions. PLEASE apply today. Below is the information as printed in the city newsletter, and/or the city web page.
Planning Commission meetings are typically held on the fourth Monday and Tuesday of each month. The meetings start at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at city hall, and are open to the public. They are also televised on Channel 16, and a videotape of each meeting is available at the library.
There will be three planning Commission appointments made in June 2001. You must be registered to vote and a resident of Lafayette for at least one year to be eligible to serve on the planning Commission. If you are interested in serving on the Planning Commission, please write a letter of interest to the Mayor. Contact the Planning Department at (303) -665-5588, ext. 3329 for more information. http://www.cityoflafayette.com/city_government/planning.html
